What Types of Billboards are there?

Many people use billboards as a way of advertising their product. This draws people’s attention into looking at what your product is. There are many different billboards. There are 2D billboards and even 3D billboards. Electric billboards are becoming more people as the technology is gradually increasing over the years and becoming more popular than paper based billboards as they aren’t as exciting and doesn’t draw as much attention. Billboards can advertise many things such as new movies coming out, magazines, newspapers and many others. I found a video on You Tube which shows some effective billboards that have become well known from being quirky and different from all the rest.

2D Billboards

2D Billboards are used all over the world. They are more of an older way of advertising as in this day and age there is a lot of technology used now. The good thing about 2D billboards is that they are what they are, no confusions or complications. 2D Billboards focus a lot of colour contrasting as it is a way in which the 2D billboards can stand out against the 3D one's. They are a flat surface, usually known as a poster. They can be any size.

Here they have used their market research and found out the programmes most popular characters in the programme to attract the audiences attention as they will want to see their favourite character up there. They have been put against a black background to stand out, which as you can see has worked well. On top of the background they have used White bold text saying 'THE END'. This instantly grabs the audiences eye as they will not want one of their favourite programmes to end. They will want to see the final episode. This billboard will draw a lot of viewings into watching the last episode.
